Late one afternoon Spencer and Candace loaded up their 1-year-old yellow lab, Tuck, and their 4-year-old Yorkipoo, Si, in their friend’s Toyota Tundra to head back home. They were first going to drop off the truck and a Polaris Ranger, and were traveling about 60 MPH on a four-lane highway towards Northport when disaster struck.
This past winter, Charlie was guiding in Oklahoma when he loaded Hook in the car for a quick scouting trip. He was making the turn off of the highway when something in the rearview mirror caught his eye. A semi-truck was barreling down the road towards him and Hook. The semi smashed into the back of his Toyota Tacoma–right into the truck bed where his 10-month-old dog Hook, a Springer spaniel, was traveling in a G1™ Intermediate crate. Here’s the story, in his own words.
